The bot closed its first swing yesterday. It has now been running for 37 trading days. It sold its position in NOW, which it had held for exactly 5 trading days, for a 12 percent profit. The exit matched the parameters that were in force at the open.
Two changes went in before the bell. The stop and the +12 threshold now calculate the live exchange rate. An ISK holding US-listed shares can miss a tight exit if the FX move is ignored. The reconciliation interval dropped from 30 minutes to 15. A half-hour gap is long enough for a price to move past the level the bot is supposed to act on.
After the close the token count showed room for a 5-minute loop. That change goes in on Monday. The weekend burns nothing.
The cloud machine is still not up, so the bot still reaches the account through the Mac’s gateway. The old standalone version made every command visible. The current one runs the changes through Grok instead. Visibility went down; speed went up.
When the cloud is back and the bot does exactly what the parameters say, the same setup goes to my parents. They are 78 and 80. They want one. That is the only reason to wait.
The bot’s book is up 374 SEK from the amount it was given, solely because of yesterday’s 12 percent exit in NOW. The long-term book fell by just over 19,000 dollars on Friday alone. Both numbers are real. The accounts that hold them are listed here: Our Brokers and Accounts.
Trading account: 10,274 SEK.
Cost reserve, same broker, separate account: 100 SEK.
Combined: 10,374 SEK.
Up from start: +374 SEK.
