About Me

Welcome to my financial journey

I’m a woman in my mid-50s living in a condo in Stockholm with my husband and our now-adult son.

A few years ago we started building a couple of investment portfolios. Neither of us is a professional investor — just two regular people trying to make our money work a bit harder than a savings account.

My Investment Philosophy & Goals

We used to be strict dividend investors with a rather ambitious (and slightly obsessive) target of $2,000 in annual dividends from every single holding. That goal is gone.

The strategy has evolved. Today we run a roughly 70/30 approach: about 70 % growth-oriented stocks and 30 % dividend payers. We still like cash flow, but we’re no longer willing to ignore companies that reinvest heavily for growth just to chase yield.

The portfolio changes. Sometimes a lot. I write about what we own, what we sell, and what we’re thinking — with the usual caveats that I will disappear from the blog for stretches when life gets in the way.

I don’t give investment advice. Ever. This is simply a record of our own plans, mistakes, and occasional wins.
